Photography enthusiasts and vintage design fans alike are certain to fall madly in love with Polagraph!

This off-the-beaten-track shop focuses (pun intended!) on Polaroid cameras – both vintage and new – and also serves as a community hub for people who, like the shop’s owners Tomáš and Michal, are obsessed with these fun instant-photo machines and the unique images they create.

Polagraph offers a wide range of contemporary instamatic options – including the adorable, colorful FujiFilm Instax Mini 8 and the all-plastic Lomography Diana F+ model – but it was their impressive collection of hard-to-find vintage cameras that really caught my attention. Camera prices start at 1,500 CZK for the iconic (and long since discontinued) Polaroid OneStep White/Rainbow model, and go up to 7,000 CZK for more advanced equipment. I walked away with a Polaroid Spirit 600, which I used to photograph my daughter’s birthday party (and loved the results!).

The staff is highly knowledgeable, extremely helpful, and clearly avid Polaroid enthusiasts themselves; they are available to shoot private events, and they also do repairs.

Interested in instamatic photography but not ready to commit to what Tomáš and Michal call “the Polaroid Lifestyle”? No problem – they also offer FREE camera rentals! Yes, you read that right: The use of the camera is free; you only pay for the film you wind up using (contact the shop for more info). How’s that for a great deal?

All in all, this little shop is a great find for anyone interested – or even just thinking about becoming interested – in real film photography, just like back in the old analog days, before digital cameras and smartphones changed everything.

Now that I have my very own Polaroid, I’ll be returning regularly to Polagraph to stock up on film before heading out on new adventures!
