MY Tesco is the largest department store in downtown Prague and my personal favorite, as its layout is more logical and better labeled than Kotva’s. Here you will find an excellent selection of office and school supplies, as well as cosmetics, clothing, shoes, sporting goods, household items and electronics. In the basement is a Tesco supermarket.

note: In October 2006, the building in which MY Tesco is housed became a cultural monument, cited as an excellent example of 1970s Brutalist architecture. You might question my fact checking after seeing the building for yourself; however, I can assure you, it’s true. The review committee must have focused on the escalators, which are indeed rather chic.
