This online shop has long been a favorite of mine for its brilliantly curated selection of vintage Czechoslovak furniture, glass, ceramics, lamps, clocks, watches, and household objects. From a covetable PRIM Caliber 66 wrist watch (2,950 CZK) to a set of funky Simax cups and saucers (499 CZK for a set of six), I always seem to find the perfect gift or personal indulgence here. Naturally I’m thrilled to learn that Nanovo will be getting lots of exposure this holiday season. A December pop-up shop (specific dates and location TBD) and a booth at designSupermarket,, an edgy annual bazaar showcasing local artists that takes place from December 5–9, will make it easier than ever to shop for things you never knew you needed, like their wood-and-formica TON chair in mint green (2,200 CZK). While the shop will primarily remain an online venture, I’m told it’s possible to view Nanovo’s showroom by appointment; if you’re out shopping in Prague the owners, Adam and Jirka, have assured me that someone is usually there to accommodate drop-ins. Worldwide shipping is available for all items.
