After its opening in a quiet corner of Old Town in 2011, a concept that began life as a series of pop-up shops around Prague has become one of the most unique retail/gallery spaces in town—though according to owner and former film producer Yasmin Keshmiri Hejduk it’s simply “a fun place to hang out”. I couldn’t agree more. Gallery by Minty Concept Club puts an inventive spin on the shopping experience by offering design furniture for lounging and sipping coffee while perusing high-brow magazines, and, above all, an artfully merchandised inventory of jewelry, housewares and curiosities for purchase. Currently, I’m hooked on Nikki-B beaded bracelets (950 CZK) and seriously trendy Ming-look vases and stackable bowls (prices range from 2,850–3980 CZK) from French designer Ibride. While the stock is almost exclusively imported, limited-editions by Czech designers and revolving exhibits by local artists give Gallery by Minty wide-ranging appeal.
