Ingredients is the kind of unassuming boutique you might stumble upon in New York ’s Soho or London’s Notting Hill, a minimalist space featuring ultra-luxurious, exclusive products that have garnered a cult following, the sort of place that was previously unheard of in Prague. And that’s what makes this new beauty concept store and spa such a stand-out: it sells niche perfumes, candles that can’t be found anywhere else in town, and the Sisley cosmetics used in its spa treatments. On a recent visit I couldn’t resist a heavenly scented Moroccan Mint Tea candle (1,550 CZK) by Cire Trudon, one of the world’s oldest candle makers, as well as sleekly packaged scents from Stockholm perfumer Byredo whose M/Mink (2,700 CZK /50ml and 3,850 CZK/100ml) is said to evoke a calligrapher’s pen. (I smelled linen.) Also on my list of must-haves: Comme Des Garcon wallets (2,190–5,050 CZK), coffee table books, and a selection of artworks by Czech designers that changes bimonthly.
